Strängnäs, Sweden stands out as one of the most sustainable pharmaceutical production sites with a ‘best in class’ environmental footprint and an onsite wastewater treatment plant for waste processing. As a result, this site was the receiver of Strängnäs municipality climate and sustainability award 2021. Manufacturing expertise include microbial fermentation, various harvesting techniques, and temperature-controlled chromatography systems. API manufacturing also takes place at this site. This Technology Innovation Center has flexible multiproduct manufacturing expertise that allow highly automated tech transfers that resulted in the production of 14.5 tons of Drug Substance in 2021.
